DESTINATION CAP CANA WILL CLOSE THE YEAR WITH 8,500 ROOMS

PUNTA CANA.- With an estimated investment of US $ 3,600 million, the destination city Cap Cana, by the end of the year will have operating 8,500 rooms both real estate and hotels throughout the complex.

 
According to the executive president of Cap Cana, Jorge Subero Medina, of the number of rooms that will come into operation, 3,500 correspond to hotel projects and the rest to real estate constructions.
 
“The investment is US $ 3,600 million, if you divide it between the 20 years that is what Cap Cana has, you are talking about US $ 180 million invested annually,” he said, while stressing that all the projects are 100% sold and most are financed.
 
Subero Medina indicated that this year there have been some inconveniences of delays in the arrival of construction materials, but that nevertheless, the situation has been stabilizing.
 
“By closing the year with 8,500 rooms, we will have a large number of people who will decide to live in Cap Cana,” he said.
 
In addition, he noted that large real estate projects will conclude next year and 1,500 rooms are currently under construction.
 
According to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, between January-September of this year, the Department of Planning and Tourism Projects had received 569 applications.
